Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., has decided to execute an absorption-type merger on April 1, 2026, in which its consolidated subsidiary Toyama Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Toyama Murata Manufacturing”) will be the surviving company, and Himi Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Himi Murata Manufacturing”) will be the absorbed company.
After April 1, 2026, Himi Murata Manufacturing will continue functioning as the Himi Plant of Toyama Murata Manufacturing.
Toyama Murata Manufacturing, the surviving company, has engaged in the development, design, and manufacturing of multi-layer LCP products and products that utilize piezoelectric ceramics since its establishment in 1982. Himi Murata Manufacturing, the absorbed company, has engaged in the manufacturing of ceramic oscillators and ceramic filters that utilize piezoelectric ceramics since its establishment in 1969.
The absorption-type merger of Himi Murata Manufacturing and Toyama Murata Manufacturing is aimed at making management more efficient through integration, increasing the flexibility of optimizing production bases, and creating a system that supports business growth through the stimulation of personnel exchanges.
